MyEA Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

MyEA is a virtual executive assistant. This policy explains, in plain English, what the app can see and what it does with it.

What MyEA accesses

You sign in with Apple (we receive your name and email). You then connect ONE email and calendar account — either Google or iCloud.

If you connect a Google account, MyEA can read your Gmail, read your calendars, search your Google Drive (read-only), and create drafts in your Gmail. It cannot delete anything or modify your files.

If you connect an iCloud account, you give MyEA an app-specific password that you create at appleid.apple.com and can revoke there at any time. With it, MyEA can read your iCloud Mail, read and write your iCloud Calendar, and create drafts in your iCloud Drafts folder. Apple does not offer a read-only option for this, so the password technically permits more than MyEA uses; MyEA never deletes mail. That password is stored encrypted and is never readable by anyone looking at our database. There is no iCloud Drive access.

Whichever you connect: by default MyEA cannot send email — every reply it writes is a draft in your own account that only you can send. If you turn on the optional "Send emails I approve" setting, then an email you explicitly approve in the app is sent from your account at that moment; even with this setting on, MyEA never sends anything without your tap.

What MyEA does with it

Your email and calendar data is used for exactly one purpose: producing your own briefing, triage, drafts, follow-ups, and answers inside the app. Email content is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate these. Triage verdicts and reply drafts are stored so your app stays consistent; your Google access credentials, or your iCloud app-specific password, are stored encrypted at our hosting provider (Render). Each user's data is isolated — no user can ever see another's.

Your conversations with the assistant

When you chat with MyEA inside the app, the conversation is stored on the server: what you asked, what MyEA replied, and which actions it actually took. This record exists so MyEA's accuracy can be audited — every claim it makes can be checked against what really happened — and so recurring needs can improve the app. Your conversations are isolated to your account, are never shared with anyone, and are deleted when your account is deleted.

If you attach a screenshot to a question, it is shown to the assistant once to answer that question and is not stored. The conversation record keeps only a note that a screenshot was attached, not the picture.

What MyEA never does

No selling of data. No advertising. No tracking across other apps or websites. And it never sends, schedules, or automates any email on its own — an email leaves your account only when you personally approve it, either by pressing Send in Gmail (the default) or by approving it in the app with the optional send setting turned on.

Deleting your data

Disconnecting your Google account (or revoking MyEA at myaccount.google.com/permissions) immediately cuts the app's access. For an iCloud account, tap Disconnect in the Connections screen, or revoke the app-specific password at appleid.apple.com — either one cuts the app's access immediately. To have your stored account data deleted, email the developer at kckoch@gmail.com and it will be removed.
